I have a small orchard of orange plants(different varieties)mostly sweet ones. They have been giving fruit for a few years. Unfortunatly few of the plants have started decaying partly.The process starts right from the top of a branch and gradually comes downward until the whole branch dies out laterally. In the same way the other adjacent branches of the same plant get effected with the passage of time. What steps should I take to prevent the process of atrophying of my hard-earned plants? Is there any kind of soil problem or defficiency of nutrients uptake by the plants? Please help me out in this issue.

I've no experience of citrus trees- apart from killing off a lemon tree on the windowsill

Hi and welcome. You must be somewhere warm to have outdoor oranges. My neighbour in Spain has had a big problem with his oranges for the last 2 years and is now planting all new varieties that are supposed to be disease resistant. This is no help to you of course but it might be something you have to consider. Have you tried hard pruning?Comment
