  • Another newbie!

    Hello

I'm marmalade and I'm based in Erdington, Birmingham.

I'm relatively new to gardening, have a small back yard in which I've grown alsorts with varying success! Althouh, the last couple of years weren't exactly a success

Everything i grow needs to be in containers which can be a fun challenge! Thinking of looking into getting an allotment at some point though

As well as gardening, I'm also a cake maker/sugarcrafter and also studying part time - time isn't too spare for me!

Welcome, Marmalade. Lots of people on the vine grow in pots, lots have allotments, some small gardens and some large. It's lovely though because we all have something relevant to say to each other.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Thought I'd just update this Didn't post much after I joined last year, life decided to do one of those things where it spins everything you know upside down

Anyway - thought I'd say hello again, I'm now the very proud owner of a half plot and can't wait to get started! So I'm going to be asking lots and lots of questions (I learn by doing and asking rather than reading) and I hope I don't annoy anyone

I also brought some tea and biscuits to say hello

and for those who have had a week like I have, some gin

Hellooo and welcome. You can say hello and ask as many questions as you want especially if you're supplying tea and biccies. (uurgh don't do gin could be persuaded to a glass of the red stuff or a nice voddy and tonic tho')
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig

Hi - welcome back! It'll soon be time to get stuck in - when the soil's not frozen or sodden!
