Help growing rooster potatoes please

Same as with any other spud, really.
There are many different methods and timings (have a go with your Search button for 100s of discussions)

this is mine:
dig a hole, pop spud in (about end of March, depending on weather)
plant about a foot apart
earth up or mulch with grass clippings as the foliage grows
Water if we get a drought
Dig them up in autumn

Good Friday iss traditionally the day to plant your spuds (and coincidently falls in with the moon thing too)

When you dig hole no more than 8 inch's deep and then they do not need to much earthing up..

i thought you had to put them in deep if you wanted los of spuds?
