  • What can I start now?

I have just been to homebase and bought a heated propagator with my christmas stash. What can I start off now?

I have two greenhouses (both unheated but have parafin heaters to use in them) and a polytunnel (yet to be erected) and several raised beds in the garden. I have got shallots and garlic in two of the raised beds that I put in around October/November.

After not doing much in the garden/greehouses last year due to changing jobs I am eager to get started and make a better show of it this year especially with the price of veg in the shops.

Any ideas would be gratefully received. ie what I can start off to go in the greenhouses or is using the polytunnel better.

    Thanks

i always start my mammoth onion seedlings now, they love heat and also my leeks, they get a good start for the season, I also sow broad bean seeds, an experiment that I did years ago which works. At the end of the month I start courgettes and cucumber off, if you have the room then why not? Each to their own really but experimenting is the best way to learn......
Dont worry about tomorrow, live for today

It all depends on the Spring.
Chillies, peppers and tomatoes can all be started this month in a propagator, but you need room to move them to.
