    not in stature

No, it's Big Daddy - not Giant Hay Stacks.

                      Hey, Wayne! I thought that
                      Haiku was in meters of
                      five, seven, and five!

                        Tis indeed!

                        Leaves blown from the West
Swirled and tossed in the winter breeze
                        Settle in to the East

About the only one I can remember.......

Still, rules are there to be broken

                          English haiku is often 3 5 3
due to the fact english words have more syllables than japanese
THE LENGTH AND FORM OF ENGLISH HAIKU

Today, many bilingual poets and translators in the mainstream North American haiku scene agree that something in the vicinity of 11 English syllables is a suitable approximation of 17 Japanese syllables, in order to convey about the same amount of information as well as the brevity and the fragmented quality found in Japanese haiku. As to the form, some American poets advocate writing in 3-5-3 syllables or 2-3-2 accented beats. While rigid structuring can be accomplished in 5-7-5 haiku with relative ease due to a greater degree of freedom provided by the extra syllables, such structuring in shorter haiku will have the effect of imposing much more stringent rules on English haiku than on Japanese haiku, thereby severely limiting its potential.
but its the thought that counts, and as you say rules are made to be broken.

                          here they are though.
                          Rules:

                          3-short lines
                          1-season word
                          1-cutting word
                          no rhyme or metaphor
                          (17 syllables, 5-7-5)

as long as you have 17 syllables they don't always have to be 5 7 5 although that is the acccepted form.

                          example

                          Looking for the moon
                          In a lonely autumn sky
                          - mountain castle lights,

'A cutting word is the break in a line such as the hyphen before the word mountain that occurred when the poet saw a mountain castle rather than the moon in the sky. other English poems use `behold` or `stop` to convey this moment.'

artistic licence...I always thought that the syllables counted when the poem was in Japanese, so translated into English it probably doesn't really matter.
