  • Mending a Broken soil warming cable?

    Hi peeps,

I have a long soil warming cable but my bunny has not very helpfully chewed through the cable and eaten the blue end bit off it.

The vet said the bunny will be fine, (at least until I catch the little bl**der), but the cable is now un-useable.

I looked up prices and a new one would cost a fortune. Is it possible to have it mended, or repair it myself?

If so, does anyone know where to get it done or how to jerry rig it so it would be safe to use?

Id be happy to send it off to someone and pay costs, if anyone here thinks they could resurrect it for me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Red,

I have never heard of them being repairable and it could be dangerous as by it's nature you've got damp soil/sand around it.

I fear you are going to have to ask santa for a new one (or two smaller ones maybe)
