Well, I had a feeling it would all go wrong. Grafted tom and spud, all looked well.Waited till both showed they were still growing then cut of all potato growth. Everthing seemed fine so about an hour ago (2 weeks after cutting off potato growth) took the plunge and cut off tomato root ball. Disaster
Tomato now looks very droopy. Will water and put in greenhouse to see if it recovers but don't hold your breath. Was only ever supposed to be a bit of fun, but starting to feel really sad at having killed off a tomato that I've known since it was a seed. 
Will wait to see if potato regrows before sending to compost bin.

It picked up over the next couple of days, and I have just noticed small flower buds on it. Its very exciting. If it survives I will post some piccies.
