  • Cucumber confusion

I’m growing 2 varieties this year both new to me.
Beth alpha - I’ve found lots of info on this variety from here and all over the interweb. Plant it let it do it’s own thing, no faffing about with male flowers and harvest nice little cucumbers from it.

Carosello medio lungo pugliese - I can find very little about these. Lots of little cucumbers out there with very similar names. I think I’ve got the right one, but not 100% as having trouble with the hand writing on the label. I got them from VCs last random seed swap. No idea if these have male flowers that need picking off or anything.

So should I grow the 2 varieties in separate tunnels to be on the safe side? I don’t want to produce bitter cucumbers.

I would grow them separately just in case, bitter cucumbers are horrible.

I think all the Carosellos are basically the same - just different in size and area of Italy where they're grown.
      Here's yours! https://www.growitalian.com/cucumber...-puglia-37-36/

I remember Sarico posting on here about Carosello - and sending some seeds from his Italian friends.
Did try to grow them but don't remember much about them - sorry.

Here's a link to a blog that Sarico sent me - you may have to translate it first!!
