  • Blueberry Duke Leaves turning Red

I ordered the T&M BLueberry Duke plants which arrived last week, however, going out to look at them today noticed the few leaves that were on them have started to turn red on one side.

I potted up into ericaceous compost, slightly breaking up the roots in the process. Is there something else I should have done?

I am guessing it's the cold. I have a few blueberry bushes, all of which have reddish/pinkish leaves at the moment. They'll mature to a deep green and then turn red again in autumn before they fall off.

Ok thank you! Looks like it’s nothing to worry about too much! Here’s hoping for some warm weather soon to get them kick started

Mine are ok so far...got them tucked in amongst a lot of other pots of overwintering perennials etc in the greenhouse.

Looks like quite a few of us took advantage of this offer

Yeah they do that. Quite ornamental really.

I wasn't going to originally, but then when I went to repot my blueberry I discovered it was an ex-blueberry (thanks to vine weevil larvae), so I thought I may as well. Mine haven't been dispatched yet, though.

My two arrived at 9pm tonight, looking like they had been transported by trebuchet.
Broken branches and 1 wasn't even still in the pot.
Placed them both in some water with a few kind words to last the night and hopefully will pot on tomorrow.
May have to keep them indoors for a while after their traumatic ordeal.

Mine arrived today, too. They were in pretty good condition, though, fortunately.

Which is more than can be said for the dwarf mulberry I got a couple months ago from one of these offers, which seems to be dead.
