  • Daffodils.

Just to say, my first couple of daffodils are in flower.
    Getting earlier and earlier.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I already have a couple of daffodils in flower, tazettas or paper whites. These I must have forgotten to lift. No sign of any other daffodils yet.

We’ve had snowdrops out for a week or so. Daffodil buds are forming. It does seem early!

My snowdrops are up but not flowering yet. Daffs only just poking through the soil.

Our daffs are up with some with yellow buds last weekend and leaves for bluebells and tulips are up as of last weekend also. Will have to look again tomorrow to see what's going on (going to and from work in the dark doesn't help me keep on top of what's going on).

My rhubarb was also well on its way last weekend.

My snowdrops are out and looking lovely. They were just planted last year (new garden) and I wonder if this makes them a bit earlier?

Saw some daffodils flowering yesterday in someone's south facing front garden. It was an area of tenements, which makes for a warmer microclimate.
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.

I must have different varieties of Snowdrops, one lot have been open for a week or more, others are only just sprouting and the same with the daffs, less than an inch(25mm) high.

The field opposite us is planted with daffs this year, obviously different varieties as they are getting ready to start picking the early ones. Will take a pic later, looking forward to seeing it as there's always quite a few that don't get picked so looks lovely
