  • What sport do you like to watch

Having read Snadgers post in the chatback thread where he says he will be sitting up to watch some boxing, reminded me of the time I used to sit up to listen to boxing matches, Paterson/ Johansson, Muhammad Ali (Clay)/Liston, (that is how it was billed)and as they were taking place in America it was in the middle of the night, nowadays I am not interested in sport, but is there any sport that you would not miss, or are happy to spend a bit of money to watch
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

My wife and I are season ticket holders at Leinster Rugby, and we always try get in at least 1 away match in the Heineken Cup every year, this year we are going to Northampton for the match in Franklin Gardens. We’ve been there before, love the Saints supporters they are so friendly. We also try to get in a home match during the 6 Nations.

For me, there is no sport that justifies missing out on a good night’s sleep!
I might watch bits of swimming, athletics, gymnastics, rowing when olympics come round - but I wouldn’t be upset if I missed it and waited til 2024...

Wales playing rugby (when they win).
I wouldn't lose sleep over it or pay money to watch anything now.
          .
When I was single , it was great to be in Cardiff after a rugby international - the atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly, whatever their team and whatever the result. I couldn't drink enough now to keep up.

Been to Cardiff for internationals between Ireland and Wales, and for Heineken Cup match’s. I love Cardiff and the Welsh people. After all we all look very our rugby so there is never any agro, I often end up coming home with oppositions scarfs where I’ve swapped mine with an opposition supporter. You make friends for life.

                Watching sport...
Big fan of Dublin GAA football...as in, Gaelic Association Football.
                Love watching the hurling matches.
Rugby, I will watch any rugby match.
                Enjoy watching all sport really.

In the glory of the garden.

Have watched Saracens for years, started when it was amateur and they played in Southgate. Since watched them at Watford, and Enfield I believe, not been to the new ground.

My vice however is football, being christened Danny after former "Tottenham" captain Danny Blanchflower it went from there.

Two of my proudest/emotional moments in life were the cup final reply in 1987 attending with my Dad and Grandad and the time my Dad, me and 2 sons attended our first game.

Rugby Union is my game, Leicester born and bred, so the Tigers are my team(well done to the young lads last night in Caaaaaardiff lol). I wasn't good enough to play at that level though, I am a member of the Leicester Lions who play in National 2 South at the moment(they had a good away win in Bournemouth yesterday) I don't get to watch these days the trip from north east Scotland is too long and expensive. I do go and watch Perthshire when visiting my daughters family on occasion though.

I (just about) still play football but generally can't be bothered to watch it - though this afternoon on the way to the plot I did watch 20 minutes of Northam Lions vs Appledore (which is a bit of a local derby) some fierce tackiling but that's about the best that can be said - and some entertaining commentary from the supporters.
I love watching international rugby union. Not allowed to talk about it here anymore

(the mulberry offer is just about the worst ad ever on this site - its probably the first one I've really noticed but its using the same mechanics as others so..) - I can see that if I hover on space below 'show your signature' and click then it will go to the advert unless I scroll the page up a bit... really dodgy way of doing things - I'm about as likely to buy a mulberry from suttons as I am to be clean shaven tomorrow (soley based on how that advert has been delivered)

Most years you'll find me by the side of the road for the Manx Grand Prix (motorcycle road-racing - TT for amateurs).

So that's putting. My time and money into the sport.

Otherwise, It's cricket on the radio, and I'll watch rugby if it's on telly where I am. Used to watch motogp and wsbk motorcycle racing when free to air. In fact motogp was the last thing i regularly watched on tv. Went to quite a few pompey home games in the early 90s.

I'll save avid sports watching for when I'm too old to do other stuff
