  • Where to plant freesia bulbs now, indoor or out?

I bought some reduced freesia bulbs the packet says to plant them now until December.
Has anybody else planted them around now, will they survive outside in the ground or in a pot placed somewhere sheltered?Or should they be planted indoors?

THis time of year I would plant them indoors but don’t give them too much heat.

For some reason I never have any joy with freesia corms, whatever the time of year it is. Hopefully someone can let me know what I am doig wrong.

Freesias are pretty hardy. I've had mine for years. Usually I take them up after the greenery has turned brown and separate the new corms. I also collect the seeds from the uncut flower heads and replant them at the end of winter. Sometimes some of the plants are left in the ground and even though the temperature can be low (some years we get snow) it doesn't seem to affect the plants.
