I’ve just taken cuttings from both because they’re pretty. Don’t know how successful I’ll be at getting them to take.

The shrub is a Skimmia.Think they come in male and female and you need both for berries.

The tree looks a bit like a cotoneaster but I'm pondering that one!

      Thanks VC.
I’m going to need to do a bit of research on skimmia.
I’ve heard of cotoneaster. That’s as far as my knowledge goes

Maybe Whitebeam or relative for the tree

          Sorbus perhaps?

After looking up all 3 suggestions. VC has nailed it . Definitely a cotoneaster.

The skimmia I think is a rubella?

If its a cotoneaster you could try growing it from seeds. I have the more common cotoneaster, the birds eat the berries and the seedlings appear in all sorts of places. Maybe you could find some seedlings nearby?
