  • Chocolate! NOW!!!!

I don't generally have a sweet tooth, but chocolate is my downfall. Sometimes it is the only answer to a question I haven't even asked. I am obviously an addict, a chocaholic!
When I want a chocolate hit (like now) my favourite thing is chocolate fridge cake. I do like the combination of chocolate, raisins and a bit of biscuit (not marshmellows) I will settle for galaxy chocolate (preferably with salted caramel) if I have to but most commercial bars do nothing for me. I find the cakes and bars you can get in places like Th***tons are not gooey and rich enough. I have complained to them to no avail! Has any one got any really rich and satisfying chocolate recipes. I don't want any modern, low calorie stuff. It is for an occasional treat and I want to feel like I have been treated.

Yes! Swedish kladdkaka, which basically means sticky cake. It's denser and stickier than a brownie, and should almost be runny in the middle.

    100 g butter
    2½ dl caster sugar
    2 egg
    1 dl plain flour
    3 tbsp cocoa
1 tsk vanilla sugar, or 2 tsp vanilla essence

Melt the butter, mix in the eggs and sugar and mix well. Mix in the rest. Pour into a 24cm round cake tin. Bake at 175 degrees C for 15 mins, or until it's only slightly wobbly in the centre. Serve with whipped cream. It's the most delish

Shame you don't like chocolate and hazelnut spread. Because this is easy-peasy and a winner with visitors here:
            https://www.nigella.com/recipes/nutella-cheesecake

            This is also good:
            https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/...-creme-fraiche

Just don't cook the base for 20 mins as per instructions. Comes out burnt. Oh, I see it's got hazelnuts in too. Oh well. I'll leave it in case anyone else finds it useful.

1 dl (deciliter) is one tenth of a liter, so 100 milliliter

                Thick, dark chocolate mousse...
Per person ...1egg and 30g 70% black chocolate

Separate egg yolks and whisk the whites until stiff.
Melt chocolate and quickly whisk in the egg yolks and a small amount of the stiff egg white. Then gently fold in the rest.
Pour into a bowl and leave in the fridge for a few hours to go firm.
Serve by first grating thick curls of chocolate on the surface.
You always need an extra helping
                Couldn't be easier!
And nope...it really doesn't need any sugar!

I can’t top these recipes but I’m quite fussy about chocolate and recently discovered Chocolatiers Collection Rum & Raisin Dark Chocolate from (of all places) Home Bargains! Love it...Give it a whirl if there’s a store near you
