  • selling preserves

    Hi,
has anybody had any success selling any produce? Many of my collegues at work whom i've given gifts of various jams, jellies, chutnets etc keep saying i ought to sell some, make hampers for xmas etc.. I think i'll probably do a few for work and see how it goes as making a few extra jars won't be any hardship. Just interested on your views folks.
    thanks

The only problem is that if you are going to sell to the public your kitchen has to be registered by the Public Health authorities. You can give as much as you like and if you should be unfortunate enough to poison some one no one will take any notice. But if you have exchanged goods for money it is a different story.

    Best of luck
