  • Preserving/storing celery.

Easy question for those in the know, is it possible to store or preserve celery? OH says it can't be done and I just don't know! I have a "lot" still in the garden that has just about survived the recent frost and would be a shame to see it go to waste/compost.

    Thanks, Graham.

I like Celery gratin and I'm sure you can freeze it.
      Location....East Midlands.

It won't freeze very well on it's own, but as the others have said you could make it into soup or add to other dishes and then freeze.

I chop it up and freeze it but then I only add it to soups and stews.
I also chop the leaves and stems separately, and freeze them separately.
