  • Plums, and lots of them

Soooo, my neighbour is giving me a carrier bag full to the brim of plums a day. I have 4 bags so far. So other than jam what can I do?

WINE... .. just had a glass of last years plum wine that my sister made... I give her all our surplus. She also makes a choice branston like pickle.
Plum pies and crumbles... mmmmm.. nice.
Picked the first 2 lbs from one of our trees... eating em as they are... (belly ache)
      I love plums

Crumble and jam are my two staples...

I also have a recipe for a Plum & Cardamom Jelly - beautiful sweet jelly - best seved on a scone with clotted cream! Quite an interesting one too, good for pressies (if you were preparing stuff for the festive season)

            Hi Roger

Any chance you can get the Branston-like pickle recipe off your sister? I tried one last year but didn't quite feel I'd got it right. I'd love to see her version
