    Default pickling vinegar

im completely new to pickling and want to have a go at pickling some of my quail eggs, right I have looked up a recipe on here and as I have broke my ankle a friend as fetched me the ingredients however she has bought me distilled pickling vinegar so it says on it I don't need anything else and don't need to boil it, now im new to this, is that right I just use it straight from the jar and add nothing ?

Is it the clear sarsons stuff?
You can use that as picking vinegar and follow your recipe by adding some peppercorns etc....it looks s bit more interesting.
I would check out your recipe, you often need s little sugar in there - it may not sound right but pickled stuff without a touch of it can be very harsh.
    What recipe are you using?
