    Hiya again

Just wondering if anyone knows where the cheapest place to get replacement lids for my jars without really high postage prices.
    Thanks xx

What sort of jars do you use? I only use recycled ones that I save, or friends save for me. Sometimes if the jars don't have lids I just seal them with cling film and use those first.

Hiya I use recycled jars but most of my jars are from pickles and I can't get rid of the pickle smell from the lids as I want to make Jam and was worrying the pickle odour would effect the jam xx

Ah I see. The pickle smell doesn't affect the jam itself but when you open the jar who get a whiff of vinegar. My daughter in law wouldn't touch the blackberry and apple jelly because of this, but son said it was lovely.

Try your local FreeCycle forums - we got loads of jars and lids from ours last year.

Have you soaked the lids in hot, soapy water with some sodium bicarbonate dissolved in it? It gets rid of most smells. I'd cling film the top of the jar before putting on the lid. Hope you get sorted

yes, you might get lucky. I sold my spares for 10p (£3 worth, brand new!)

... and the buyer had the gumption to complain about P&P costs *tut*

You probably know this already: you can do a search, and then save that search ~ and you will be sent a message when your (searched) item gets listed by someone
