Im going to grow gurkins for the first time and wondered if there was anything anybody thinks i should know or do before i start and where i can get a good supply of pickling vinegar from

Not sure on the gurkin growing but thought they were a bit similar to cucumbers,ie need a sunny wall or poly tunnel/greenhouse, i did grow cucumbers this year outside but they had a very tough skin.In summer i got pickling vinegar on a 2 for 1 from booths, maybe keep your eye out for specials as its a bit out of season they may be trying to get rid of it and you could stock up -
I got a 5L bottle from my local asian supermarket for £3.50. don't buy "non-brewed condiment" stuff instead I read somewhere that it is, somehow, a derivative of the petrochemical industry. YUK!!Bright Blessings

I'd recommend cider or white wine vinegar from Asda as price competitive, acceptable quality vinegars for preserving the wee Nepalese men.Comment

Most Supermarkets do Pickeling Vinagar in the late summer. It is normaly clear so that you can add your own spices.My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon LandingsComment
