Does this keep ok in the freezer, have been gogglin,is it best to cook it first,or just puree up and freeze, and does the sugar help it to keep, thought it would be nice to have some done a different way, other than dear old jam, thanks in advance peeps,

If it helps I purée apples (no sugar) to make sauce then freeze it in ice cube trays.

I always purée blackberries, again, no sugar, 'cos I hate the seeds in them, and freeze, like Bren, in ice cube trays so I can just take out a cube or two as I want them.

eta I cook them first, then rub through a sieve. Sugar will act as a preservative for raw fruit, but unsugared will keep longer if cooked first.

OK that's not very clear now I've read it. I mean cooked, unsugared fruit will keep longer than uncooked unsugared fruit. Can't say how long fruit with sugar will keep 'cos I don't use sugar
