  • Freezing Pickled Jalapenos?

I bought a tub of pickled Jalapenos a few days ago (I know, shock horror I didn't grow them) and I have quite a few left. I don't want to throw them away but I also don't want to make myself bad eating them with my cereal to use them all up, question is can I freeze them? Any ideas please?

If they're pickled then won't they last for ages anyway as pickling is a way of preserving?

Trouble is I didn't buy them in a sealed jar, I got them from a takeaway and I have no idea how long they might have already been open and now they aren't in the brine/pickle stuff anymore?

Make a chilli or a curry, and eat some, freeze the rest

Ah, assumed you meant a jar of them, guess we're not talking about the 100 odd that I was envisaging then . Try freezing them, worst case scenario is they'll be a bit soggy but it's better than wasting.

Thanks, yeah that's what I thought, they are already sliced and there's about 20 slices left in the tub. I just thought they would be ok on pizza's and things, if they aren't very good when they come out I'll just blend them into tomato sauce.

That's barely enough for a sandwich
