  • Borlotti bean advice please!!

    Some of my Borlotti beans got caught in the first frost of the year.
    We've harvested the lot- and put a pile into sterilizing jars. So far so good!
    BUT...I'd like to dry some for next year. Problem is that the pods weren't dehydrated nor dry and the frost has made them slimy .
    I know beans should be dried in their pods til they pop open naturally- but these I'm sure would have gone mouldy.
    Should I go ahead and dry them on a plate at room temperature- or should I sterilize them. I was really hoping to save a few to plant again next year- but I don't want to waste this last batch.

    What do you suggest please peeps???

    hi Nicos,all i can suggest is,perhaps wash any slimy residue off,pat dry,place on some tissue ext, and leave to the warm air inside ,if my experiments are to go by,they will shrink,then try 1or2,for germination,nothing to loose only gain,
