    Hi Printemps,
    can you tell us your recipe for sweet pickled beans?.....sounds interesting and yummy!

    can i also freeze french beans? if so whole or do i cut them like my runner beans?

    its funny i have spent the afternoon reezing my beans and both methods ( blanching and not blanching) worked well for me.

    I don't blanch, too lazy and I find it makes them taste funny. French beans freeze well, I just top and tail them and cut the bigger ones in half. Open freeze and then bag up and cook as needed. In my opinion, runners don't freeze so well and aren't that good for using as a fresh veggie but work OK in dishes.

    Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

    Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
