  • Newbie in need of some help please

    Hi all green fingers
I'm Donna from Plymouth and just purchased a plastic greenhouse as my conservatory is filling with plants that need bringing on before planting and I would like to grow fruit and veg. As it's a plastic one I would like to know what I can grow in there and to get any advice anyone could give me on the whole greenhouse experience. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Hello Donna & welcome to the Jungle, you can grow anything that you would in a conventional greenhouse i.e Toms, Cucs, Chillis, Peppers..............the only downside to these greenhouses is they have to be well anchored down as they can take flight. It may pay to also throw some ropes over it and anchor them down as well.

The other problem is ventilation as you need to make sure the door is open when it's hot but closed if cold or windy

Hello and welcome to the vine Donna like BM says grow things like Toms, Cucs, Chillis, Peppers. its not to late to sow cucumber seeds but for the others you're best of buying plants so you get a crop this year.

Hi Donna and welcome from me too. As BM says anchor it down well. A couple of years ago I came home to find mine, along with seedlings and pots at the bottom of the garden and this year I am left with the shelving as the cover and frame took off during a storm and landed who knows where!
