  • Newbie Alert !!!!

Hi, i'm loving this site as it answers lots of questions and nobody minds helping the beginners. It all started for me a couple of months ago when my godchild sowed tomato seeds at school, as they were moving they gave the seedlings to me, (wot do i do with these, i thought?). Now , i've got strawberries, beans, chillies, courgettes on the go, all little babies at the mo, but looking through the forums i've found a wealth of information already. I apologise in advance for any "stupid" questions i may ask........ for example what is "thinning out", i have an idea..... my partner thought i was taking the micky :0))

Hello & welcome thinning is basically removing excess seedlings from a row to allow the remainder to grow to a larger size

Hi and welcome! Loving the name "chive bunny"!
We all have to start somewhere and we all have apologised at some point for asking what we think are dumb questions but are actually perfectly valid queries.
You won't be the new kid on the block for long and I agree it's a great forum for making people feel welcomed.
