  • New from slightly less frozen Brittany!

I was thrilled to find this forum as it looks so friendly and busy!
I used to grow flowers and veg a few years ago then didn't have time but I'm back to growing veggies this year. I have a 6X8 cold greenhouse and will be growing veg by the square foot gardening method.

Hi there- and welcome to the Vine ( from an exceptionally gusty Normandy!!)

Yup- it's a really friendly forum with loads going on!! ( please tell me you have chooks????)

What veg are you planning on growing??

There's quite a bit of info on here about square foot gardening from a few years ago- check it out using the 'rather excellent Search facility'( top of page)

Bonjour et bienvenue Patchninja, it's nice to see someone else on here from 'wet and windy' Bretagne! Hope you've filled your car up with fuel today, looks like we could have a bit of a shortage, but we aren't panicking yet!

            Thank you for the welcome!
No Nicos, I have no chickens. I would like some one day but I don't know one end of a chicken from the other!
Piskie, I come from near Abingdon and still have family there.
Tomatoking, I see from your blog that your weather forecast is for Loudéac - I live in Binic so we're not far apart! I have a full tank but I hope this all blows over soon.
I'm really looking forward to spring.
Flummery, the greenhouse is looking quite good today with mangetout peas, spinach, cabbages, lettuces and a few other bits and pieces! I did stupidly put some tomato seedlings in there that have gone rather droopy so I shall have to start again!

Bonsoir et bienvenue à la Vigne.

Can't think where Binic (or Loudéac) is but we have a family place in St Jacut de la Mer if you know it.

Alors bonne chance with you re-kindled interest...look forward to chatting

                              Thank you all!
Paulottie, Binic is about 45 mins west of you on the coast and Loudéac is directly south of Saint Brieuc about in the middle of Brittany. Drop by when you're in my neck of the woods! I've been here for 20 years now.....time flies. Same to you, Mr T!
