,are you north or south island ?wish you all the best in the new home,and with creating the garden,you must be very exited,is it a start from scratch or make it your own.
Re,the sweet peas i would pick the pods when they start to turn brown,put to dry ,then store in an airtight container.
what is so nice about this forum is it's friendy information,always someone with the answer,have fun,is great just to see what is going on with others to,some laughs to be had,not just garden related,only thing you have watch is ,it gets addictive

Hi thank you for reply, I live in the North Island, on the Coromandel Pennisula in a town called Whitianga. Coromandel Pennisula is the most beautiful part of North Island, we have the most beautiful beaches, fantastic scenery and the queit life, afraid I am a country girl through and through. The city is not for me, our nearest city is Auckland which is 3 1/2 hour drive from whitianga, our nearest hospital is Thames which is 1 3/4 hour drive from whitianga, which I had to go over the hills in labour with my 3 children.
My sweet pea is laden with seed pods so I will wait for them to brown then store them like you said. thank you for your advice. it is still pretty hot here, autumn is slowly making it presence felt, now preparing my vege garden for the winter planting it with lupin to replace the nutrients ready for spring planting and building another raised vege for our winter veges. I absolutley love having my own garden!!

what do you mean by putting a pin on the grape map in google maps, how do I find it and do it.

Hi Carmen, I've just looked at Whitianga on Google earth, it looks a fantastic place but those mountains are huge, better watch they don't cast a shadow over your new garden.

yeh the hill we have to drive over to get to thames or auckland is called the kopu-hikuai hill a real challenge to drive over. i looked at what country you come from wales, well I am married to a welshman, my husband was born in cardiff, wales, one day we both would like to go to wales, would be nice to see where my husband came from.
