  • New Hydroponic grower Hampshire

    Hi All,
New to this site, but not to veg growing. This year decided in May to added Hydroponics into the mix, and it's taking over my life. Looking forward to sharing and learning with any likeminded souls. John

    Hi John and welcome
I know nothing about hydroponics but I'm always interested to hear about alternative ways to grow.

      Hi John
      Welcome to the vine
I'd be very interested in hearing about your hydroponic growing. I've been considering it myself for a few things ( Mostly chillies and lettuce/salad leaves ).

Hi and welcome to the vine

Another one that would love to hear about your hydroponic growing. It is something I have put aside to learn about come winter

Hello and welcome to the vine JohnBoyVeg
I'm another one who has no experience with Hydroponics but there's been a few forum threads in the past that might be worth you looking at.

welcome, JB! Glad I came on here to say 'welcome' as after a disastrous summer it's wonderful to see Lumpy's Edison quote.

I know nothing about NOTHING, still newbie-ing along, but what you're doing sounds interesting.

              Hope you enjoy the forum!

                I have some produce

                Hi Small pumpkin
Well that's the good news, I am eating the hydroponically grown produce, and the flavour/quality are excellent and the yields OK but not outstanding.
Best results were: Tomatoes - Jalapeņo chilli - Little Gem Lettuce - and the top performers BASIL (Sweet and Thai).

Downside is my conventionally grown crops suffered from lack of my attention.

                  That's great to hear JohnBoy.
So what set up are you using?
I've had the same problem with things not getting my full attention, just by having an extra Polytunnel this year. So I will be doing things a bit differently next year.
