  • Just been told I have an allotment - time to panic?

    Hello everyone!
My name is Jayne, I have 4 children, we love trying to grow our on veggies but have never been successful 🙃 I've just had a call from the council and we now have an allotment 😆 Not a clue where to start so had better get reading 🙊

Hi Jayne, welcome to the vine I don't have an allotment, I grow in my small back yard, but congratulations on getting one. That is very exciting for you. You'll get a lot of help here and also encouragement. Lots of people here have allotments so you're in the best place.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Gooood afternoon, Jaynieb, great news on acquiring your first lottie..!
I, too am a back-garden veggie grower, so can't give advice on this, but you'll soon get heaps of advice from others here ....!

Happy growing - and a very warm welcome to the Vine

Congratulations. I'm 9 days into mine and learning loads. I was slightly overwhelmed at first with mine, as its wildly overgrown, but a little bit each day and it soon clears. Best of luck with it
