Hi Woodsy, and welcome to the Madhouse!

The first rule of growing is, grow what you like to eat! That'll get you started!

Hi Woodsy, a very warm welcome to the vine. You'll find lots of tips and advice here, but to get you started, why not use the search option above to find container growing treads. Good luck with the growing!

Hi and welcome to the Vine from me too Woodsy.

You can grow loads of different things in containers - potatoes, salad crops, runner beans, peas, blueberries to name but a few.

I would suggest you arm yourself with a load of seed and plant catalogues and a mug of tea and start having a flick through. Many seed companies will tell you if something is suited to container growing.

Hi Woodsy and welcome to the vine!!
Although I still new to growing, the best advice I was given is to only grow things you like

Hi Woodsy I grow in an assortment of containers and pots so long as you water well and have good drainage I find most things grow fine.

Hello Woodsy and welcome to the vine, I grow a lot in containers and pots its great, you can move things round, I also bought some arches so I could grow my beans and squash up and out of the way to leave me room to grow underneath, but as everyone else said, grow what you like to eat.
