  • hi there

    good evening folks
I am new to this site so thought I would introduce myself. I teach special needs children at a school near Dartford in Kent. Until recently we had a small school farm with a small herd of Dexter cows, 15 Southdown sheep plus chickens, ducks & rabbits. However due to the school being re built I had to close that section of the farm down. We now teach the youngsters about growing their own fruit & veg rather than animals. I also have two allotments which I took on at the back end of 2009 but due to the weather have not been able to get on with much. I am not really up to speed with allotment growing so I would like to apologise now for the silly questions & request for advice I am bound to post

Hi F1, welcome to the vine, as binley has said don't think your questions are silly, we all have to start somewhere, it sounds like your going to have your hands full with 2 allotments, plus helping little ones to understand where there food come's from.
