  • Hi people

Hello! I'm new here so I hope you don't bite!

I've just taken over what I'm assuming would be deemed a 'half' plot of an allotment that I'm working on taming - inherited some young apple and pear trees I'm trying to tame into espalier style, and also growing various soft fruits, this collection will be grown as spring starts to come round where I'll be adding in strawberries.

Due to an excess of weeds on smaller beds I've so far covered things with weedfree membrane...till I ran out. Hoping to do some smothering.

Anyway enough about my allotment xD I hope to get to meet people, and get more tips and advice on how I can do things etc!

xDD SOMEONE GOT THE REFERENCE AT LEAST! BoyWonder actually kind of started as a way of getting people to remember my name (it was added to by using a t-shirt with batman on lol!)

So far I feel very welcome here!

It's sandy - especially once you get 2-3ft down (digging holes for plant fruit trees and fence posts etc) its pure sand down there. I'm planning on digging in some spent compost mind, and around my fruit trees at least I've planted some spring bulbs that'll handle shade nicely. I'll be adding more year on year, and putting some cornflowers in underneath for summer colour

Here's some pictures, I think you can see some sense of progression XD
