  • Hi Everyone!

Hi all, after buying a house last year I’ve started a little veg plot to escape the DIY that’s ongoing.
Got a fair bit that’s growing (including weeds!) but thinking of this year as a bit of an experiment. Rather nicely we’ve inherited a green house from the previous owners too so got a few bits in there too! All exciting looking forward to harvesting some home grown veggies!

    Hi Chrissy

I don't think gardening would be as much fun if it wasn't one big experiment!

Welcome aboard, sure we'll be able to aim you in the right direction, what are you growing, what would you like to grow and roughly where are you?

the greenhouse sounds great,it will save you having to use your windowsills in your new home to start things off,as we no greenhouse growers normally do. You can keep both your new home and garden in order
          Good luck

Thankyou all for the warm welcome 🙂
Hi Burnie I’m in East Yorkshire and growing chillis tomatoes cucumbers and cucamelons in the greenhouse (so very useful for those Chillithyme!) and just planted out some courgettes patty pan and some winter squash too. I’ve also got carrots parsnips garlic onions shallots beetroot lettuce cabbages radishes and I’ve dedicated a bed for asparagus which has just started to pop up after planing in November time!
I quite agree self contained it’s exciting to see what I can get to grow to the point of harvest
