  • hi - anyone in my area of London and want to share my allotment?

Hi all - I have an allotment in Eltham London and have been working it for a couple of years now. Present work commitments doesn't give me a great deal of time to spend on the plot so I'd be happy to share in work and yield . Anyone out there interested please get in touch, have a chat and a cuppa! All the best, Anne

Hi Plummy welcome to the vine. Have you tried other plot holders on your site, friends and relatives? Is there a waiting list on your site and could you half your plot and the cost with someone on the waiting list?

Hi there, and welcome to the Vine

Just a thought...do terms and conditions allow you to sublet? ( even if you paid for everything , if there was a fall-out or you decided to leave then the other person has no protection/rights)

Our allotments have a formal co-worker arrangement, might be worth investigating. Should the the original tenant decide to give up the co-worker can take on the plot but only if the arrangement has been in place for 2 years.

The two year rule is to stop people trying to circumnavigate the waiting list.
