  • Hello

Hi, I'm from Ayr in Scotland. Just got my allotment a couple of years ago and am loving it. My plot is primarily vegetable based. My opinion used to be If you can't eat it, don't plant it! I have relented you could say and now have Begonias around my plot, a patch of Dahlias, a hydrangea plant some petunias (Had to remove because of greenfly infestation) and some large poppies. all else are vegetables and tomatoes. Tomatoes being my first choice for seed trading. I have some Rapunzel seeds and some Box Car Willie sent from America last year and they were both excellent. That's me in a nutshell. All the best. Jim

Hello and welcome to the vine Jim I'm a back garden grower so I tend to have flowers popping up amongst my veg beds mostly its nasturtiums, poppies and violas, violets and sunflowers I only pull them up if they're in the way.
It does make the garden look interesting and attracts bees and other insects.
      Location....East Midlands.

        Hi and welcome Jim!

I'm much the same as you - I used to turn my nose up at anything that wasn't edible, but now I have lots of flowers in my garden, and I'm really enjoying them

I'm not long home, got soaked with random showers but dug up the last of my King Edwards and washed out my pots and water butt
