  • Hello

    Hello.

As the username name suggest im Dave and amateur at best when it comes to gardening. Had an interest in gardening since watching ground force when i was growing up and spent quite a bit of time learning different methods and techniques. Finally getting to a stage where I feel i can start getting somewhere in the garden having got most of the major jobs done in the house.

Dont like diy but dont like paying someone more so tend to do most things myself (suppose i do secretly like it, dont tell the good lady though!).

Want my life to be heading towards 'the good life'. So need to actually get some practical experience with self sufficiency.

Anyway, thanks for having me and sorry for the posts youll see that youve probably seen hundreds of times!

Hello Dave don't worry about asking lots of questions we like it. I've learnt loads from this forum,I used to be a lurker for years before I joined. There's loads of great advice that goes back years. I used to google grow your own forum & my question & it always helped me solve problems etc straight away. You could add some photos to the 2016 calendar at anytime you're ready if you want, then you can really look at the progress you've made & when it's dark outside, you can still look at your garden & plan things at night. I saw your other post first too, your garden looks a great size!

Hi Dave, welcome to the nuthouse er, vine

You'll get plenty of help here. Had a quick peek at the other thread and looks like you've got a great space there for growing in

Thank you for the welcomes. Ive enjoyed reading these forums but finally decided to get stuck in.

Ive always found the most 'fruity' people are the most interesting so looking forward to it.

Planning on going down the urban homestead (sorry for the americanism but ive been influenced by youtube videos) route and trying to get as much as i can out of it.

I darent put a photo on the 2016 calendar, id look at it in two years with the only difference being the hedges needing a good trim. Btw the photo is about 7 years old so a bit different to as it is now.
