  • Hello from the West Mid's

    Hi all!

i found this lovely place this afternoon, googeling how to freeze rhubarb crumble, lol, which i have been making today. i thought that looks a great place, i have to make an account and have a good mooch.

i have been into gardening all my life, as i have grown up on a smallholding, but having to make do with a small town garden at the moment. we are working hard though, to move into the countryside, as my biggest dream is to be as self sufficient as possible.

i have a small greenhouse at the moment, and grow as much as i can fit into it. like tomatoes, cucumbers, squashes, courgettes and lettuce.....

im just really getting into herbs and natural cures also. i try to garden organic, but slugs are my biggest nemesis...lol grrrrrr

i love animals, and have 4 cats and 2 dogs. Benjino is on of the dogs. lol

              Welcome to the vine
There's a few of us on here that are quite fond of animals (under statement) and the odd ( very odd in some cases ) one or two that strive to be as self sufficient as possible.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! its much appreciated.
Benjinos proper name is Ben, he is a Beagle cross Hound. we adopted him when he was 11 month old, he is about 20 month old now, and very energetic, and can be a hand full, lol, so Benji--no, is about right.

Hello and welcome. Sounds like you'll have lots in common with plenty of folk on here, even the slugs, I'm afraid. Plenty of slug threads going at the moment, including all singing, all dancing slugs.
