  • Hello from Sunny Southampton

Hello folks I'm very new to the whole gardening growing scene. Was brought a plastic walk in greenhouse for my birthday few weeks back and decided to start trying to grow my own fruit and vegetables. Think I may be addicted now! My greenhouse is packed with all the available space covered in pots and seed trays. Have started off with tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, lettuce, watermelon, chives, parsley, celery, chilli and bell peppers! I'm loving the whole process of sowing the seeds and watching them sprout so satisfying. I expect I'll be on here a lot being a newbie looking for advice and asking questions

Hello Damien and welcome to the Vine.

What you already have going sounds brilliant - it sounds like you have been well and truely infected with the GYO bug.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Hello and welcome, I hope you're going to enjoy this new hobby. Don't ever be put off by the odd mistake or let down. Nature has it's own way and will teach you something every day of your life, even the old timers are still learning and adapting. It is kind of addictive though isn't it.

                              Thanks

Thank you all for the warm welcome, great to see it's full of like minded nut cases too 😉it is very addictive and I'm always wanting to grow more! More more more! Have managed to use all available space in the greenhouse and started adding in extra shelving. Got a lot to learn about growing and transplanting etc but know it's now a life time hobby and passion of mine.
