  • Hello from South Wales

Hi everyone. just joined today. I took over my allotment last year - heavy clay and overgrown. Managed to put in a few crops, spuds - Sarpo Mira, sprouts and Sweetcorn
Hoping for better results this year. The Autumn planted garlic and Japanese onions are well away and the spring cabbage is looking ok. The ground is still too wet to plant my early potatoes but hopefully I may be able to get them in next week. They are well chatted and ready to go into the ground.

Hello Eric and a warm welcome from me as well.

Now, someone is going to say but we like pics as they (not me of course) are a nosy bunch.

                      Hello and welcome, Eric44.

I have to say I suspect you must already know VC. Two of her favourite subjects, especially for goading the rest of us, are how sunny it is in Wales and how the years are passing for some of us!

Living near S Wales myself I can confirm VC's point that it is always sunny round here - as along as you use your capacity to see beyond the grey clouds and rain drops, the sun is definitely up there somewhere.

Sunshine and age are a bit like a half full glass. You see what you want to see and ignore the rest - like clouds and wrinkles.

Shame about the Mondays - they're usually a little damp. Pouring down in Cardiff at the mo.
