A bit about me
I've been gardening for many years. My great great grandfather was a gardener for a local convent, (it no longer exists) and my father was a very enthusiastic gardener, growing fruit, veg, ornamentals and house plants. We actually took the RHS & City & Guilds Gardening courses together in the '90s, which was fabulous.
I learned so much from my father, he was as incredibly knowledgeable, intuitive and creative gardener. He was a wheelchair user, and his gardens were stunning and very well designed, by himself of course with all manner of usual and unusual plants. I helped him in his gardens for many years.
I later went on to work at Ryton Organic Gardens as a gardener in the display gardens and as the Heritage Seed Library horticulturist.
I dont work in horticulture anymore, but have my own gardens, growing all manner of things, including fruit and veg.Comment
