  • Hello again from Cornwall

    Hello lovely peeps!

Just thought I would take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I originally joined the vine in 2009 and after an enforced lengthy break due to poor health, I am now gradually getting back into my gardening bug.

I hope to be an active member and learn & share as much as possible rather than just lurking in the shadows!

    Welcome back
Good to hear you're recovering. Don't go over doing now. We don't want your health set back. I know that's very tricky when the gardening bug strikes

Obviously there are various alternative ways of gardening, some of which are easier on the body then the old double-digging routines of the past. If you have any thoughts or issues, please mention them and I'm sure someone will respond with interesting thoughts.

BTW fruit is generally a less intensive way of producing a crop, so if you like it, that might be one avenue for you to ponder on.

Thank you all for your warm words and kind wishes!

I have my lovely wife keeping an eye on me to make sure I don't go too over the top lol!

The problem I have, that I expect is shared by many, is the fact that the array of seed packets are just too alluring - I must be an advertisers dream!!

                    Hi and welcome back

No being naughty when your missus isn't looking. There are plenty of peeps to tell you off on here if you aren't careful. Having said that there are loads of ways to satisfy the gardening bug.

                          Hello from me too
Glad your health is allowing the gardening bug back into your life again - enjoy what you can and want to do and don’t be afraid to delegate the rest

                            Welcome back Hooky

Enjoy your gardening and don’t overdo things. I know what you mean about seeds. I’ve been good this year and only bought 2 packets as have so many. Unfortunately they are all out of date but I’m determined to still use them. I have managed to give some away to neighbours who like me are more than happy to give them a try.
