(a bit backwards, i forgot how forums work)
Hi all, newish to the forums (I used to lurk as an unregistered guest when googling plant stuff).

I'm a former city dweller with a notorious black thumb (I killed ALL THE HOUSEPLANTS, to the point where Mr BT banned them), a theoretical interest in gardening, and I finally moved to a place that has a garden I can live out all my gardening fantasies in. :P

I love watching Charles Dowding's Youtube and and OYR Frugal and Sustainable Gardening, and recently discovered Huws Nursery, Liz Zorab, UK Here we Grow. Hoping to start practicing all the lovely no dig, sustainable, grow your own, etc etc theories that I've been watching for so many years!

I've just shoved some Asian Mustard Green, Spinach, Chard and Lettuce seeds in raised beds and little pots leftover from all the nursury shopping sprees. Waiting to see if any sprout or if it all rotted in the rain. The packets says "sow March - June"... but maybe March is a bit too optimistic for sowing outside. Will see!

Hi and welcome to the vine! I think shoving seeds in is absolutely fine - they just want to grow if they can. I think sometimes I think about it too much, and could do with simplifying lol

Ha well I figured a bit of shoving would get them to toughen up in life. (Someone call the SPCP)
