  • First time for everything

    Hello all,
Andy here in Portsmouth. First time on the site. I'm a 50 year old ex matelot
with 2 allotments mid city. I try to grow as much veggies as humanly possible, and inhumanly, come to think of it. Have found the info here to be really great and hopefully I can spread my hard gained tips amongst you as well, once I pluck up enough courage that is. Heres to a good harvest.
    Cheers Andy

                  Hi Andy

Don't be afraid, I have only been on here a few weeks I started off looking for an allotment, 2-3 weeks later I have found one and start digging tomorrow.

They really are a good humoured and nice bunch on here. Lots of advice, a bit of a giggle and to be honest I chuckle reading peoples comments with their friendly humour and banter.

Welcome and enjoy, it is a great site.

Hi Andy, you must be the Andy on the next plot to Steve and me! I too have only had the courage to post once (twice now!).
                    See you on the plot.

Hi Andy, and Pompeylottie, welcome to the 'Vine

Gird your loins and jump in both of you!! Andy, it's lovely to have the voice of experience from all parts of the country - conditions can vary so much around the country, what works in Yorkshire might not work on the South coast etc, so don't be shy to throw in your two penn'orth!
