    Hi
To all the sod- busters out there. Just came across this site a few days ago and I confess to having a lurk for a while, but as you seem a bunch of decent down to earth lotties I thought I would introduce myself. Hi I'm Dave.

Hi Jeanied, a little bit of everything, I took over the allotment about 10 months ago and over the winter ahve planted Joan J raspberries, Marshmello strawberries, gooseberries redcurrants onions and garlic. On Wednesday I dug out an old raspberry bed and put up a 10` x 6 ' Polytunnel just hope it 's still there. I bought it on Ebay for £90,took a bit of a chance, but heres hoping I get a couple of years out of it. Will go down tomorrow and plant a few potatoes in sacks and put them in it.

Wow - what a lovely place to grow, Dave! Just thinking about the local produce! How fabulous.
Get them taties in tho' - nothing quite like tatie bread! I like mine fried with small tomatoes!
It sounds like you have all the beginnings of some great growing - but use your polytunnel for the tomatoes, chillis and other tender crops - just in case we get another summer like last one!
