  • Cheeky chives

    Hi.
Anyone else have chives that are flowering in October ?
I also have some spring bulbs coming up. But that's a different story...
I live in the North West of England, Manchester.

My chives are just finishing flowering - time to collect the seeds.

VC my main bunch of chives which are planted under my apple tree did what they were supposed to do during the spring and summer months. These are clearly renegade... They have just started to flower.

When they've flowered I chop them back and they grow and flower again. I can get three lots of flowers a year for normal chives. The garlic chives seem to flower a lot later.

My garlic chives are growing well but no flowers.
Perhaps it's because I dug them up and split them earlier this year.
