  • Wanted: King's Head wall planter

Righto then, let's see if you lot can help me out with this.

My Mum & Dad have a couple of wall planters:

They'd like a third, but can't find one.

They are both about 9" across the top. One is 13" high, the other 15". You can plant in the top of them.

So...does anyone recognise these? Who were they made by (I'm assuming the same manufacturer for both)? Where might I buy one?

Failing that, has anyone got one they'd be prepared to part with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, MBE

I should probably add that they're not at all sexist and a queen's head planter in a similar mould would be perfectly acceptable.

You could find somebody who's face fitted the bill, and do your own DIY concrete mould of that :-)

Sorry VC, I've seen these and they just don't cut the mustard.

That sounds a bit like volunteering to me.

              Now you're getting picky.

It's not me that's picky. It needs to match.

                What sort of gnome?

                    Why yes. Yes I would.

Same design as the terracotta one on ebay that VC linked to, too.

Can you take one off the wall? It may have the maker's name on the back...

Are there any precasters (think that's the term basically people that work with concrete around) who could make up a mould for you from the ones you have? You could try yourself but I don't think liquid latex is that easy to get nowadays (could be wrong)

                            Out of interest,
Have they any recollection when and where they bought them, or were they gifts?
Could they have been bought abroad?
Maybe the 'gift giver' could be contacted?

My thoughts are that they seem to heavy to have arrived by post, or put in suitcases....so they must have been bought by someone with a car.

Can they /anyone recall how long they have had them?

As MH suggests...maybe there is a makers mark on the back....along with contact details?!!!
