  • Separate Processor & Blender or all in one?

    Hi all

    I've decided to treat myself to a food processor but also need a new blender. Would I be better off buying an all-singing, all-dancing machine that does everything, or should I get two separate machines?

    The blender will mostly be used for making soups and smoothies, and the processor will be used for chopping, slicing, grating etc as well as for cake making and mixing bread dough.

    I've had a look at Which but most of their best buys are processors only. Is this because a combined machine would compromise the quality of one or the other?

    Can anyone recommend any particular model?

    Thanks in advance.

      If money is not an option go for the Rolls-Royce of machines, a Vitamix.
      see => https://www.vitamix.co.uk/
      Does everything on your list and more but slicing.

        £400 for what looks like a liquidiser?

        Get a reasonably priced food processor like a Magimix

        and a seperate hand blender too. There's plenty of reasonably priced stick blenders - ours is an old 'cheap' Kenwood and has been going for about 10 years.

          I love my KENWOOD multi pro FP730, has all sorts of different attachments and works a treat. I mainly use the blender for soups and the processor for chopping.
