  • Pergola makers?

We have a pergola in our back garden. It's a very simple design with uprights, cross beams and longitudinal beams and that's it. (if I could post a pic, I would). No decoration/trellis work etc. All the bits are simple planks (each upright is formed of 2 c1"x4" planks with the cross-beam bolted between them at the top)

It's about 8' tall and about 30' long (est).

It's been up longer than we've had the house, and it's rotting in places.

I could end up getting bits from a timber merchant and just replacing the rotten bits, but that will be a considerable faff.

I have made cursory internet searches to no avail. Can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier of such a pergola? (probably pressure-treated softwood as hardwood is super-expensive).

Rowlinsons do quite a lot of garden furniture but doubt it would last a long time. Home page you could try contacting them.
If the rot is just in pieces that go into the ground, I would be inclined to put new treated posts against the offending ones and screwing them together. We had and old barn that had been repaired like this a couple of times before it blew down. The repaired posts are still standing.

I've seen products of the firm Zest 4 Leisure and they've all looked very sturdy. I bought two obelisks made by them and they are big, tough and I reckon should last for many years, unlike lots of the ones I looked at. They supply to firms rather than direct, so you'd need to find a stockist near you. This is one firm that supplies their stuff, to give you an idea (not the one I used, which is local). https://www.gardensite.co.uk/garden-...rden-products/
