Has anyone please got any recommendations for an electric chipper (I know the petrol powered machines perform the best but are really expensive). It will be used for the smaller prunings as the larger stuff gets stored for kindling or stakes. I've been researching for ages and am going round in circles trying to decide which one to go for.

Thanks for the info Two Sheds - Have to admit the Bosch 2200 was one of my top choices and will probably go for this one. Most of the reviews were in favour, I just get put off by even a few bad ones.... It's not so good for chopping up soft stuff but great for twigs, branches. The soft stuff breaks down easily enough in the compost bin so this handles all the rest. It has a slowly rotating but powerful cutter which slices the material up into 1" pieces. It has an auto reverse to unjam it and is relatively quiet.Comment

That might be like the one Terry on our site has. It made light work of stuff that another shredder we've used would have choked with.
It had a twisty screw thing that pulls stuff down which does the feeding and reverse I spose.Comment

Ive just got one off my local FB page. It's a Black and decker one just need the blade sharper or I might get a new blade will see what my freind says about the blade as he sharpen my tools for.Comment
